Gathering Place in Oklahoma is an award-winning landmark for Tulsa locals and a major draw for visitors. Spanning 100 acres along the riverfront, the park offers water sports, playgrounds, a skate park, picnic spots, and restaurants.
With water sports a key activity at Gathering Place, the kayaks and pedal boats are in constant rotation, and the Boathouse needed a smart way to manage storage. Tilt Industrial Design was engaged to design, construct, and install a custom boat-stacking system that could safely lift and store the fleet between uses.
The system was purpose-built for the park’s mix of kayaks and pedal boats, factoring in different sizes, weights, wind loads, and safety requirements. Its automated lift-and-rotate mechanism streamlines access, boosts safety, and keeps the waterfront running smoothly.
