Renowned First Nations creative, Alison Page has spent the last three decades embedding First Nations storytelling within the built environment. With a background in architecture and interior design, her evolving practice shape-shifts across disciplines, bringing cultural narratives into public art, interiors, exhibitions and urban design.

As part of Melbourne Design Week, the Creative Shape Shifter exhibition features a collection of Alison’s works from her career, including new collaborations with emerging First Nations designer, Sancia Ridgeway.

Some works within the Creative Shape Shifter collection are reproductions of bespoke pieces originally created and sold earlier in Alison’s career. Tilt supported Alison by translating these works through its industrial design process, developing detailed digital design assets that enable the pieces to be accurately reproduced as part of the emerging House of Blak collection.

In collaboration with Alison Page and the University of Melbourne, Tilt also supported the exhibition by designing and delivering custom brackets for the suspended artworks, ensuring the presentation aligned with the exhibition’s creative intent.
